Lynne Sawyer

Lynne Sawyer is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Wealth Management. Prior to this she was Head of Deposit which includes Banking deposit products, the Cash Management Access Account and Escrow. She recently launched Total Wealth Checking which optimizes clients’ personal balance sheet by integrating short-term savings and liquidity needs without impacting long-term investment goals. This new account is targeted for the Wealth Management client base and provides financial value and important identity protection benefits.

 

Prior to joining BNY Mellon she was the Head of Cash Management Product services at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management which also including Cards and Premier Cash Management. She was formerly the Head of Wealth Management Operations Client Service Centers. Lynne joined Morgan Stanley from Citi where she was the Global Head of Client Services and the North America Head of Global Custody Operations. Lynne has also managed and led teams in Citi’s business lines which included Global Implementations, Stock Option / Purchase employee trade support services, Brokerage client services and Retail Bank consumer loans / branch services.

Lynne has always been engaged in Women’s Leadership and development. She current sits on the board of WINGs a non-profit targeted on developing senior women leaders and is an acting mentor and a panellist speaker for their signature program. At Morgan Stanley she was a mentor in the Wealth Management annual mentorship program and at Citi Lynne was an influential leader in the development of The Women's Council, an advisory body established to mentor women at all levels throughout the Securities Funds Services business line.  Lynne was part of the council for 12 years and the council's executive co-chairwoman for 3 years and has also served as head of the council's national and global Developing Talent Program, advising women co-workers on career enhancement and development.  

 

From 2010 - 2018, Lynne had been on the Board of Trustees of Brooks School, an independent co-educational college preparatory school in North Andover, Mass., where she served as co-chair of the development fund-raising committee and as a member of the finance committee.  Lynne holds a FINRA Series 7 license and graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, Conn. with a Bachelor's degree in economics.
