John Ippolito is the regional president of the New York Tri-State region for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. In this role, he leads the team that manages the investment management, wealth planning and private banking services for individuals, families, endowments, and foundations. John is based in New York City, and oversees five offices in the NY, NJ, and CT in the metro-New York region.
John has spent more than 31 years in the financial services industry. Prior to his current role, he was a Regional President with Northern Trust, running regions in both California and New York. Before that, John was a portfolio manager for 21 years at Northern Trust, prior to his leadership roles.
John received a bachelor’s degree in Finance & Political Science from New York University. He has over ten years of Master classes ranging from leadership, coaching, and change management, both in CA and New York with NYU’s Stern School of Business. John also has multiple certifications in digital evolution design for financial services platforms.
John is active in the cultural arts community, having served on museum, theatre, and opera boards for nearly 15 years. He lives in NYC and is active in not-for-profit work with many cultural organizations.
